We invite you to join this sacred act. When you take time to write and speak the name of a child, you are affirming that this child was a uniquely beloved child of God and their families, created with dignity and purpose. You are refusing to normalize genocide.

You are saying to the world and to the families who have lost everything that their children matter, that their pain is seen, that their grief is shared.
Hind Rajab, a six-year-old girl from Gaza, spoke these words before she her family's car was riddled with over 350 bullets from Israeli forces: "I love Gaza and I want to live. I am not just a number. Please don't forget us."
Let us answer her call. Let us remember these children as human beings with names, hopes, and dreams. Hind wanted to be a doctor. She wanted to grow up to live a full life. Her dream, like the dreams of 20,000 other children, was stolen.
These children are not dead. They are alive with their Lord, in his presence and receiving His provision and grace. They are watching to see what we will do, to join them in truth and justice.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever fulfills the needs of a brother or sister, Allah-God will fulfill their needs."
Let us fulfill the need of these children to be remembered, honored, prayed for, and mourned. Let us also fulfill the need of the living—the parents, siblings, and communities—to know that their children are not forgotten, that their grief is shared around the world.
We have already begun this work.
